Depends on how long the steering wheel has been on - get a steering wheel puller for sure - I tried w/out one once and ruined the steering column. The switch is located under the dash, but on top of the steering column - real pain in the arse to get to. I have gotten everything working except the brake lights. I've been trying to get my brake/backup/turn signal lights to work today. Would it be OK to buy a 4 wire trailer wiring harness to get the lights wired up, attaching the trailer harness to the factory harness with butt connectors covered with heat shrink tubing? There are 2 green ones, for L and R signals/hazards, a white one for tails, and a white w/ trace for backups. My factory wiring harness has 4 wires, and none of they are for brake lights, according to my haynes manual. Where is the brake light switch located? I looked everywhere under the dash by the brake pedal, but the only thing I see attached to the petal is a spring to make the petal come back up. ![]()
